Wellness hotels on Mallorca with a retreat programme: Es Racó d'Artà, Fontsanta, Finca Serena and co.

Which hotels on Mallorca offer more than a spa menu: fixed wellbeing programmes, thermal water, medical advice and retreat weeks with visiting teachers – with prices and an honest assessment.
Almost every five-star hotel on Mallorca has a spa. It gets interesting where a hotel has a programme: fixed routines, qualified staff, measurable goals, retreat weeks with visiting teachers. Six houses that take this seriously – and an assessment of what a hotel can deliver and what it cannot.
Es Racó d’Artà (Artà) – the programme house
A 13th-century finca on 220 hectares beside the Llevant nature park, 31 rooms and villas, adults only from the age of 14, “no visible technology”. The wellbeing offer is cast into programmes: “Wellbeing Booster” from four nights, the comprehensive version from seven, a two-day anti-stress programme, “Take a Pause” with breathwork and a programme for the musculoskeletal system. Every morning there is guided meditation and yoga (Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini); a doctor for integrative medicine and a nutrition specialist work in the house, alongside acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, Watsu and sound therapy. Five treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam bath, shala, outdoor gym. Stays with a programme start at around 300 pounds per person per night in the low season.
Fontsanta Hotel Thermal Spa (Campos) – the thermal water
The island’s only thermal hotel lies near Campos, five minutes from Es Trenc, adults only. The thermal circuits last 90 minutes, alongside saltwater pools, sauna and thalasso. The programmes are sorted by theme: longevity (five days, from 2.680 €), detox and purify, sleep, fitness, yoga with myofascial Pilates – as a group or self-guided. The longevity package booked through Wellbeing Escapes includes three private yoga sessions, lymphatic drainage, a Zen tatami ritual, a lifting facial, a massage, daily breakfast and a detox drink as well as spa credit.
Finca Serena (Montuïri) – the quiet centre
25 rooms on a 40-hectare estate in the Pla de Mallorca, quiet and far away from any coast. Spa with Natura Bissé, sauna and hammam, eight kilometres of running and cycling paths on the grounds. Hatha yoga is included three times a week, plus tai chi, Pilates, mindfulness and private sessions; several times a year there are yoga retreats and four-day yoga programmes. The kitchen at the Jacaranda works from its own garden. Prices from around 500 € per day.
Castell Son Claret (Es Capdellà) – the classic in the Tramuntana
The 19th-century castle hotel on 136 hectares at the foot of the Tramuntana is one of the Leading Hotels of the World. The Bellesa de Claret Spa relies on hammam rituals, indoor pools and treatments with ingredients from its own garden; yoga takes place outdoors and the gym is open around the clock. There are no fixed longevity programmes here, but a very good basis for one you build yourself: quiet, sporty, with a spa open from 8am to 8pm.
Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Es Trenc (Colònia de Sant Jordi) – retreats with visiting teachers
The Bikini at Es Trenc is the address for retreat weeks with external hosts. Formats such as “Science Moves Longevity” with the biologist and sports scientist Dr Gunda Slomka (strength training, mobility, fascia work, yoga, breath training, longevity talks; double room from 1.354 €) or “Rest. Reset. Shine.” with Anke Graewer (two yoga sessions a day, somatics, Yin, pranayama; double room from 1.183 €) run several times a year, with sauna, steam bath, pool and a yoga studio with sea views.
Jumeirah Mallorca (Port de Sóller) – the big spa
High above Port de Sóller with views of the sea and the Tramuntana. With around 2.200 square metres, ten treatment suites including a hammam suite, a thermal area, a heated hydropool and a gym, the Talise Spa is one of the largest on the island. Programmes come in the form of massages with local olive oil, facials and yoga on the terraces – rest rather than protocol.
What a hotel can do – and what it cannot
A hotel delivers surroundings, regularity and rest. What it does not usually deliver is diagnostics: blood panel, body composition, VO2max, sleep analysis. Anyone who wants to make more of a wellness week than a good feeling combines it with a measurement before and after. On the island that is possible at centres with body composition analysis, plus cryotherapy and oxygen therapy as additions – all providers with prices in the comparison.
