Fasting and hiking on Mallorca 2026: providers, dates and prices
Published 18 February 2026 · Editorial team Longevity Mallorca
Buchinger fasting and hikes between the Tramuntana and Cala Santanyí: which fasting weeks run on Mallorca in 2026, what they cost and what to look for in fasting leadership, group size and programme.
Fasting is one of the oldest longevity tools and one of the few that cost something without being expensive: time, discipline and a place where the fridge does not call. Mallorca has established itself for exactly that – the hiking season starts in February with the almond blossom, the coastal paths in the south-east are flat enough for people who are fasting, and German-speaking fasting leaders have been working here for years with fixed hotels. These are the providers for 2026.
Mallorca Fastenwandern – Finca Puig de Ros d’Alt (near Llucmajor)
The longest list of dates belongs to Mallorca Fastenwandern SL, in an 18th-century country hotel between Llucmajor and Sa Torre. Spring 2026: 28 February to 7 March, 7 to 14 March, 21 to 31 March (spring special with ten nights), 11 to 18 April, 18 to 25 April, 25 April to 2 May, 9 to 16 May and 16 to 26 May. Autumn: 24 to 31 October, 31 October to 7 November and 7 to 17 November (autumn special). Seven nights cost 1.350 to 1.385 € in a single room, a double room for two people 2.300 to 2.335 €; the ten-night special comes to 2.050 € (single) and 3.500 € (double). Included are six morning training sessions, five hikes, one e-bike tour, the airport transfer and organic fasting catering.
Fastenwandern Werner – Hotel Playa Mondragó (Mondragó nature park)
Christiane Preuss leads the Buchinger weeks at the Hotel Playa Mondragó, right inside the nature park: early exercise on the beach, hikes to Cala Figuera, Es Trenc and along the cliffs, talks on nutrition and the physiology of fasting, yoga or Pilates in the afternoon, breaking the fast on Saturday. Dates in 2026: weekly in spring from 4 April to 16 May, in autumn 10 to 17 and 17 to 24 October. Seven days cost between 759 € (small double room without balcony) and 1.081 € (superior with sea view, single occupancy) depending on the room, with transfers around 60 € extra.
Fasten-Sylt – Hotel Pinos Playa (Cala Santanyí)
The Fasten-Sylt team with fasting leader Cora fasts according to Buchinger at the Hotel Pinos Playa in Cala Santanyí. Hikes lead into the Mondragó nature park, to the Es Pontàs rock arch and by bus into the Tramuntana; on top of that there are morning exercises, yoga, three to four talks a week, nutritional advice, a sauna and a whirlpool. Dates in 2026: 26 September to 3 October, 3 to 10 October and 10 to 17 October. Eight days cost 1.058 € in a single room and 1.023 € in a double room with sea view; anyone booking only the seminar and the fasting catering pays from 540 €.
Delphine Gieske – Hotel Pinos Playa (June)
Delphine Gieske, a medically certified fasting leader, offers two summer weeks at the same hotel: 6 to 13 and 13 to 20 June 2026. The day begins with aqua fitness, followed by a hike of around ten kilometres in the morning, rest and liver compresses in the afternoon, a talk and relaxation in the evening; one day stays free. Eight to fifteen participants. The hotel costs 835 to 1.381 € per person depending on the room, plus a 380 € organisation fee.
Marion Khalsa Kaur – fasting, Kundalini yoga and breathwork (Sóller)
Anyone wanting to combine fasting with yoga and breathing work will find a different format with Marion Khalsa Kaur in Sóller: six days of fasting on fresh juices and vegetable soup, four easy to moderate hikes in the Tramuntana, Kundalini yoga, qi gong, meditation, breathwork and phases of silence. In spring there are weeks specifically for women (eight days, a maximum of ten people, from 1.480 € in a double room for single occupancy); mixed weeks start at 1.680 €, a 1:1 retreat at 1.980 €.
What to look for
- Fasting leadership: ask about training and experience. Medically certified fasting leaders are the standard, not an extra.
- Clarify beforehand: with diabetes, an eating disorder, pregnancy, underweight or regular medication, a conversation with your GP belongs before the booking.
- Group size and pace: ten kilometres are a different matter on an empty stomach than after breakfast. Good providers offer hikes at two paces or a free day.
- Refeeding days: breaking the fast decides the effect. Programmes that end on the last day without explaining the refeeding days are incomplete.
- Afterwards: fasting lowers inflammatory markers and sharpens insulin sensitivity – effects that fizzle out if everything carries on afterwards as it did before. Anyone wanting to embed the week in a protocol will find cryo chambers, body composition analysis and IV drips on the island in the provider comparison.
